ABOUT DEEP WATERS

OUR MISSION
To reach the Gulf Coast with the Gospel.
God called us to plant Deep Waters in Pascagoula because of the people who live here. We believe our neighbors should experience the love of Jesus in the way we welcome, listen, pray, and serve.
Our community includes the person struggling to make ends meet, the family looking for a place to belong, the lonely neighbor, and the person whose life looks complete but still feels empty. Every one of them matters to God. Every one of them matters to us.
We want to be a hospital for the wounded in spirit: a church family that prays with you, walks beside you, and helps you grow through discipleship. We look to Jesus for healing and restoration. That calling begins in Pascagoula and extends across the Gulf Coast and wherever God sends us.
Our vision is for the Gospel to travel with us into our homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods—through the words we speak and the lives we live.
REVIVAL & EQUIPPING
A place to encounter God and be equipped to serve.
We believe in the fivefold ministry described in Ephesians 4:11–13: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Christ gives these ministries to equip His people for the work of ministry and build up His church.
As gifts develop, character must grow alongside them. We value prayer, Scripture, discipleship, and accountability so that ministry points people to Jesus and strengthens the community.

MEET THE MURRAYS

Pastor Michael & Alana Murray
The Murrays’ story began in Enterprise, Alabama. Michael, from Ohio, and Alana, from Mississippi, answered God’s call to attend the Refuge School of Ministry, not knowing their “yes” to God would lead them to each other.
They went on to serve churches across the country as youth pastors, worship leaders, and evangelists. Along the way, they knew God would one day call them to pastor.
Through dreams, prayer, and counsel from spiritual oversight, they came to understand that God was calling them to start a work in Alana’s hometown of Pascagoula.
In a city rich in history and culture, their burden remains simple: reach the lost and impact the Gulf Coast with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
